Birthday celebration at the lake

Marie was born on Memorial Day, and her father’s birthday, May 30^th this year, landed on Memorial Day observation. So it was nice to have a 3-day weekend for my birthday and celebrate at the lake house. It is so special to share a birthday with my dad. People always ask me questions like, is it strange to share a birthday with your father? – I honestly love it, and I don’t know anything different. Plus, two cakes are better than one. 

It was a beautiful day at the lake; we had fun on the lake and had a nice barbecue dinner. I also got some great gifts from my family. Anthony got me an apple watch, and I can't wait to use it to track my fitness goals. We had a great weekend and hope to get to the lake house soon.
