Easter weekend

Saturday was a busy day preparing for Easter. Marie was baking cupcakes and mini cheesecakes with fruit toppings for dessert. We put together the gifts that we got for all our nieces and nephew. 

We are lucky that both sets of parents live in the same town. We celebrated Easter Sunday at my parents’ house and got to see my 2 sisters, brothers-in-law, 4 nieces, and nephew. We had an Easter egg hunt with the kids, dinner, and dessert. The real surprise of the day was my parents surprising all of us with a large family trip to Walt Disney World later this year. The kids were so excited and jumping all over the place. . . I’m sure the Easter candy sugar helped with their excitement. Our nieces and nephew are so excited to get a future cousin - they are hoping it happens before the family vacation and that the baby will be old enough to go on the trip.

This year we would have gone to Anthony's parent's house for dessert, but Anthony’s mother had a bad head cold, so we just stopped by for a quick hello in the morning. We are hoping that she feels better this coming weekend so we can celebrate with them, and maybe Anthony’s brother sister-in-law, and 3 nieces will come to visit too.
