Theme nights

Anthony's mom had a great idea that each family would pick a theme night and that family would plan the menu and cook. We chose the 4th of July, so it was an American-themed night! We went to the dollar store and picked up some decorations, and we cooked on the grill, shrimp, hamburgers, and hotdogs. Plus, we made homemade mac & cheese, salad, coleslaw, corn on the cob, and french fries - for dessert, we put together a sundae bar and made brownies and rice Krispy treats, our niece's favorite! 

 

Anthony's parents picked Mexican night, and my brother-in-law picked Hawaiian night! The food was terrific all nights - but our nieces said that our night was their favorite - I think that's because Mac & Cheese is one of their favorite meals, and the sundae bar didn't hurt. lol!
