Traveling for work

This is the first time in 2 years that I am traveling for work, it seems so crazy that 1 week before the world shutdown in 2020 I was in Florida on a business trip, and this week I am traveling for work for the first time since then. 

I am the Creative Director for a pet product company. Basically, I design packaging for pet products, I work with designers to make sure the new products the company comes out with match the brand and I help the product development team come up with new product ideas. It is so fun to see something that I design on a store shelf. 

If I travel 2 times a year for work that is a lot. I am not considered an essential person to be at tradeshows since I don’t sell products to retailers. I go to walk the show floor to look for marketing trends, new product ideas, and go to design and marketing seminars.

Prior to 2020 I worked in the office 3 days a week and worked from home 2 days. Since the pandemic, I have been 100% remote. It is going to be interesting to see people in person when I am so used to seeing them over zoom. 

Since the tradeshow ends on Friday, Anthony is going to fly down to Florida after work and we are going to spend the weekend together and maybe even head to Disney World for the weekend.
